In the newspapers we always hear about the street accident. Many innocent people are crushed under e wheels of vehicles. Some are killed on the spot and many are left behind crippled.

Accidents have been a common word for us nowadays. Thousands of people are killed in a year jn the road - accidents. The first thing being careless by the driver. Most drivers know nothing more than speed. They think themselves aped master accelerate to uncontrolled speed. They not only kill others but they lose their own lives as well. First and the most important thing every vehicle driver should realize is that the cause of accidents is speed. They should be aware and promise to themselves that they will keep the speed in the control.

Besides, many accidents are the cause of negligence of pedestrians too. They cross roads haphazardly.  Sometimes, some youths gather in groups and walk along the street covering almost one fourth of the street. In this case, the e thoughtless pedestrians become the cause of their own ruin. All pedestrians should understand that all the vehicles are man-made machines and they might go wrong any time. Roadways are also responsible to some percentage for road accidents. The roads are always spoilt by the heavy-y rain. There are big holes and pits formed on the roads, which have been left as they are for months. The concerned authority is not swift in carrying out these renovations immediately. Sometimes, roadways are dug up by some people to pass pipeline and the driver at ease drop their vehicles there.

Besides, traffic rules, awareness of people regarding traffic rules, easy process of obtaining driving license are the causes of accidents. All the road users are unaware of the traffic rules. The drivers are somewhat aware of the road rules to some extent but pedestrians and cyclists are almost unaware and ignorant, and in fact these people have been the cause of accidents many a time. There are hardly any effective programs conducted so as to keep all the road users informed and aware of the traffic rules. Besides, easy process of obtaining license has not compelled the drivers to know and understand the rules.

Whatever may be the cause, accidents are no good to any sector. It leaves behind disabled citizen and ruins lives and property. Keeping these effects of accidents in mind all the road users and the authorities concerned should move towards reducing these mishaps.
